Quick Overview

Donia (Hanan Turk), a student who studies poetry and dance, suffers emotional and psychological distress due to being circumcised as a little girl. Her husband Mamdooh’s (Fathi Abdul Wahab) accuses her of being emotionally cold and forbids her to dance in public. Donia decides to close her husband out emotionally, and refuses to give in to his restrictions. Meanwhile Donia grows closer to her university professor Basheer El Masry (Mohammad Mounir) who lost his eyesight while defending his intellectual causes. Will Donia risk getting closer to her professor or will she abide by the social traditions that restrict her enjoying life?
